We had used the Tax Correction Agency, Inc. to try and lower our property taxes in the past. When the Company reduced our property tax bill and we ended up saving $242 after they took their 50% Fee. We wondered why we were paying more than our neighbor whom had a much larger house but they assured us that was the best we could do. During 2009, we became Good Grievance Members and chose the E-Z Plan. The appraiser called and notified me that the public records were wrong and that they were assessing my house as at twice the size. Because I received a free appraisal when I joined Good Grievance my property taxes are being reduced by almost $25,000 for one year. I get to keep the entire savings and they review my assessment each year for free to tell me the value of my property. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you.

I had never missed a mortgage payment in my life but became extremely concerned when my employer suddenly closed. My payment was about to reset much higher on a negative amortization loan and I knew we would not be able to afford the higher payments. I spoke with many agencies and finally chose the Triple Start Membership offered through Good Grievance. They have helped restructure my entire life over the past six months. The resolution on my mortgage has reduced my payment by almost 70% and they are lowering my taxes and insurance by almost 20%. We can afford to stay and we are Members forever.

I was a bit concerned when I first met with Good Grievance. The young man that was just leaving the office was disappointed that he failed to pre-qualify for a loan modification. I had already paid some Company in California $2,000 to accomplish nothing. The representative informed me that it was unfortunate that most homeowners they would meet did not qualify for a HAMP resolution - and even more would not qualify for any loan resolution due to investor guidelines. I was a bit skeptical when they told me I qualified and that my rate would be lowered to 2% interest from 9.5%. I just signed my final Home Affordable Modification Agreement and my finalized payment came in $6.00 dollars lower than they had quoted me the day I became a Triple Start Member. I’m still working two jobs but I can keep a roof over my head.

We were already late 7 months on the mortgage and getting no help from our loan servicer. They kept telling us to sell the house or we will foreclose and take it from you. I had become ill and my husband was not getting any overtime at work. Our Lender kept telling us that we would not qualify for any programs and when we tried to make partial payments they would send them back. A friend had told us about Good Grievance and we figured we had nothing left to lose. When they explained the Membership and told me to go home and take a few days to think about it made me feel comfortable and understood I was not the only one going through this unfortunate event. My trial period is almost done and my life is getting back on track. I want to thank everyone at Good Grievance and Bank of America for their help. This program reduced my payment from $3,356.01 to $1,897.50. It took almost a year but this group never gave up.

You can’t imagine the relief I felt when my bank called and said they were postponing the sale date for my home. They told me they had received my full submission package from Good Grievance for Making Home Affordable and that they did not need any further documents. I was constantly on edge and would call Good Grievance weekly. They got it done! I literally went from the Steps back into the House in three months. My family thanks you and words can’t express my feelings.

Good Grievance said that my property was over-assessed and for $199.00 dollars I could reduce $2,175.00 off my $10,000 a year tax bill. The other tax grievance guy in Suffolk County wanted 50% plus the appraisal costs. That was almost $1,200 for filing four pieces of paper with the assessor. I’m glad I canceled with the other guy and chose the E-Z Plan.
